Prolink shock arm chain wear damage

Post by hondaman160mph »

I plan on installing a Progressive rear shock this winter on my '82. I bought a used Prolink shock linkage on Ebay to have on hand for spare bushings if I need them. I was told by the previous owner of my bike that one of the threaded bolt holes in the shock arm where the dog bone is connected may be stripped. I have not verified this yet but thought if true I could use the shock arm I got from Ebay.
I noticed there is some wear from the chain rubbing the arm I got from Ebay. Is this a usable part? If my arm has a stripped thread I would think it could be repaired also.
