82front axle mounts

Post by johnod »

I noticed today that the axle brackets/mounts , ( the 2 caps on the bottom of fork legs) are not symmetrical.

Is there a left and a right?
How do I know which is which and what is front or back?
There is a small arrow on each cap as well as some letters.

Thanks

The mounts should be the same and they are mounted with the arrow facing forward.

OK thanks.
That would have been my guess, but this is better than guessing.

One other bit of info, John: The book says to torque the front bolts first for these brackets.
