Before I tackle my own forks I thought I'd better ask what may seem like a simple questions. I have an 80 also with the air caps on top. Do they just screw off or do they come off some other way. Thanks Ross.

I know its probably a simple answer but my manual does not show how these 80 air caps come off. Do they just screw off?

Yeah Ross, that's all one casting, and the whole magilla screws off. Do yourself a favor and completely un-weight the front end and wrap that 'tower' in rubber before you do grab it though. I think I wrapped it in a couple of thicknesses of bicycle innertube and put a Big Assed Crescent wrench on it when I did mine.

Thanks Nils. I'll get some rubber and give it a go. Ross
