DRESDA SWINGARM AND SPOKE WHEELS???

Hi fellow CBXers,
I been pondering this for a minute, and would be keen on hearing your input on what the best way to tackle this is.

I have a stock 79 that I’ve wanting to give a make over and give it the classic earlier 70's look, with spoke wheels and a box swingarm and of course I want to go as wide as possible with the rubber. I was thinking I could take a pair of CB750F hubs 76 (spoke) and re-lace them to Excel rims, say (2.50) x 17" Front w/120 tire and (5.00) x 17" Rear w/160 tire on a 2" extended DRESDA Style Boxed Swing arm for a CB750F. I guesstimate the swing-arm pivot is about 10" across for both, is that about right? Will they fit? Also, any ideas on the front calipers matching up with a pair of CB750 rotors, since the CBX is a 5 bolt pattern and the CB750F hub is a 6 bolt or should I step down to the to a CB750 or GL1000 front-end? Or worst-case have Daniel from http://www.fishheadbigbrakes.com/ make a custom setup for the CBX front.

Thanks in advance and would love to hear your thoughts.

Best,

JR

Jason:

George Dillaway (cbxtacy) who lives in Chula Vista has a wire wheel CBX. The rear is aCB750 wheel and the front is a Suzuki GS1000 wheel with a 750 hub, complete with a Suzi fork.
You should get in touch with him. He is hauling produce across the country right now. Send me a pm or e-mail and I will give you his cell phone no.
