Rubber Bumpers 1979 model

Post by Patriotprop »

I just received the two rubber bumpers that go onto the lower left exhaust pipe for the center stand and the side stand to rest against. They are light blue in color. I bought genuine honda new parts. I believe the originals were black ?

What's up with the blue ?

I have boughten several in the last few years and they were all the light blue as you said.. I have used a black felt marker to make them look more presentable. I read that on this forum and it seems to work just fine.

And yes, the replacements have been blue for years.

Me thinks the blue might be a silicone rubber to better handle the heat. (Don't bet the farm on that, though.)
