Anyone else running 6 in 2"s have this problem, notice the brackets on the mufflers don't line up with the footpegs , am i missing a bracket or something?

Dan, I told yu not to fondle the pipes before you installed them. Throw some cold water on them now and they'll shrink. I'm sorry, couldn't resist. That is strange or maybe the mufflers came originally with shorter headers?

Here is da bracket on my Kerkers. Held on to the muffler with a bolt and rubber grommet. There is about a 1" offset bent into the bracket as well.

Its a Kerker part (pretty sure). I can take more detailed pix if you want to make one. Kerker may still have some??

I believe that the cause of this misalignment is that the megaphones are not correct for a CBX. I have a set of these myself (oooops) and the brackets to make them work. I have helped several other people make brackets for theirs. I suspect that these megs were originally fitted on something like a CB750 or KZ900. Just a guess. Has anyone purchased a set from Kerker way back when for a CBX that came with brackets. I bought quite a few new sets and they were a correct fit, no brackets needed. The megs have a different part number on the bracket than a CBX part number.
Very Best,
Phil

Kerker also made 2 generations of that pipe, neither should need any brackets to attach to the foot plates, I don't remember which it was, the 1st or second Gen, but one is less upswept than the other.

This is the early Gen 1 on my 79 back in the 90's for comparison;
