Well, I'll be going from a stock set of pipes to a 6-into-6 Pipemaster's on my '80 in the next couple of days, after the Blue Shield sets, so I'll let you know how I feel about 'em.

;)

You may find they take a little "tweaking" of the brackets to look balanced but the effort is worthwhile.....Enjoy Landy.....

For your side stand get a door stop rubber from a hardware shop and use a llonger bolt & washer to go through the door stop rubber and the existing side stand rubber you will find this works fine.

A little late to this thread, but I will report I have had Pipemasters on my 79 for maybe 10 years. I previously had a set of Tim's Grand Prix pipes on the bike. The Pipemasters are quieter. IMHO, they are just about as close to a Ferrari sound as you can get on 2 wheels. I coated them with that Kreem anti-bluing product, and it worked perrectly. In fact, the megaphones (stainless) have changed color more than the chrome headers.

I am sure that someone will answer your question shortly. There is a CBX'er in Madison, Wisconsin, USA that has a used 6 into 6 he is going to be selling. I will be advising him to contact you.

Freeways are boring. Back roads have character.
