Alphabet exhaust.

Post by steve murdoch icoa #5322 »

I did not want to hi-jack[btw,i miss George] the intro thread from J.Long so i figured i would ask over here.

Jeff, did i read your post correctly in that you had a 3-1 Alphabet system?
The one i have is a 6-1 with a 2-1/4 " baffle.
On a regular bike they have plenty of ground clearance as well. Not so much on this lump.

Phil, i ended up with the hacked muffler from Jebby when he altered his system. Unfortunately somebody else had already messed with the baffle.

I like that a lot. I would call it a 6 into 2 into 1.
Very Best,
Phil

Hi Steve, sorry I missed your post until just now, mine is a 6-into-2, has an interesting "pulse" sound at idle...

I really like the way the Alphabet exhaust sounds. Deep & throaty on the bottom end. What does the top end sound like?
Is there any reality in finding a set in good shape for the '81-'82?
Thanks, Troy
