Headlights

Post by Magnet21 »

Hello to all;
I have an 80 CBX SS. The sealed beam headlight is fairly pitiful in its output. Is there a brighter sealed beam to fit it or even a new reflector assembly with xenon, LED or other modern lights to fit the bike? It has the heavy duty Alternator from Tim's installed.

Thanks

Best quick improvement I have found is a PIAA bulb. A bit expensive at approx $50. But, about twice the apparent light at the same power draw. Side note: Be certain to clean the inside of your headlight lens.

PIAA 15224 H4 Style Xtreme White 12V 60/55=110/100-Watt Bulb - Twin Pack for $53.29 Amazon Prime. I agree these are the best improvement for the money. Split them with a friend. I've had these on 3 bikes.
