Replacing pulser units, factory or??

Post by NorthernCBX »

Hello all, not sure if you saw my post on my advancer shaft, but needless to say the advancer button started contacting the pulser units on my cbx. The grinding caused the trigger bump to get shaved off the advancer button and all or the pulser units. Since to my knowledge the pulser units can't be adjusted to reset the airgap and who knows what harm the contact has caused to the pulser units i am thinking of replacing them. My question is do I just find used factory replacements or try and switch to the new Dyna units that I hear mixed results about at best? Anyone have personal experiences or thoughts? All ideas are appreciated!

Used factory pulse units are cheap. That’s the way I’d go if the other ignition components are working fine.

That's the way I was leaning towards, they worked fine for the first 20k miles on the bike, but figured I'd get another opinion on the matter, thanks Dave.
