alternator rubber gromment question

Post by 6 Pack »

Currently rebuilding my alt. and will replace the rubber gromment at the bottom of the cover where the wires come through. Would like to pull the 5 wires out of the plug in connector to save on cutting them and repairing them ...What's the trick to release the spades from the connector?
Being ever so careful not to harm the connector. Thanks

See my reply on the other thread. Biggest pain by far is fishing all those wires through the 90 degree rubber grommet. Lots of lube and patience.

Remove the connector! Do you still need help figuring out the female connector removal?
