Carb Help

Post by cnormiego »

I have purchased a completely restored 79 CBX. I live in Idaho where the altitude is about 3800 feet above sea level. I purchased the bike from Florida where the altitude was sea level. I am running the stock airbox and stock filter however, I am installing the 6 into 6 pipes from pipeworks.

Any idea where to start with my needle positions, main jet size, pilot jet size, air fuel screws and any thing else that would help me be in the ball park.

I would really appreciate some advice from you guys?

Thanks so much

Norm

You shouldn't need to do anything. The bike will run richer anyway at elevation. The needles are not adjustable, JFYI.

Guys thanks for your insight. In fact once I get them dialed in I will post just in the event anyone else does this they can have a reference point with my specific data.

Great forum and support to your guys:)
