Overflow tubes cracked

Post by pouchy750 »

I've stopped the fuel leaks from the tubes between the carbs by replacing the O-rings.
I also replaced the float valves because petrol was leaking out a couple of the overflow pipes. This didn't stop the problem!
I was informed by Bill at Tims that the overflow tube in the float bowl could be cracked. Upon further inspection this is true.
Can these tubes be repaired with a smear of JB weld? I know it's a bodge, but what other options do I have?
Replace the complete float bowls?

Here is a response, taken out from another thread:

Take some emery cloth and clean them real good then solder them. They solder very easy and will last forever.
