Vacuum controled petcock on Pro Link?

Post by Steverino »

I don't know where I got this idea, but I thought pro links had a vacuum controlled petcock that defaulted to fuel off when the engine is shut off to avoid accidently hydro locking the number one cylinder when using the side stand with open intake valves and sticky carb floats. I had fuel run out the front of my petcock when I switched it to on the other day so I ordered a new one from Honda. I was surprised to receive a conventional petcock. When I took off the original, I was surprised to see my bike came with a conventional petcock. This is a crate bike so I know it's never been worked on. There was no provision for a vacuum line either. Are there some with and some without?
Thank You
Steve

Steve: The vacuum controlled "petcock" is an additional device further down the line. It is mounted on the carbs, the fuel line from the tank mounted petcock runs into it.
