Carb needles

Post by tevan »

The 79 jet needle has a of5 stamped in it the 80-82 main jet needle has 55a stamped in it. Can I use the 80 needles for the 79? Is there any difference between the two?

Yes, there is a difference and I think you'll see it if you look closely. Needle taper is everything in jetting, witness the nightmare that Dyna-Jet Stage 3 needles are.

I will look closer. The length is the same for sure but it is harder for me to see the taper. Old eyes I guess.
Thanks
