Mike,
Those pipes look great but I fear that you are having way too much fun :-)
Best,
Phil

Off the bench and on the floor...close to a ride around the block?

VERY COOL!

Can't wait to hear a fly-by, but it sounds great right now, and it looks fantastic.

Incredible work Mike!

Thanks guys! I still need to weld all the seams, you can hear the exhaust leaking from them.

I purchased a spare headlight ring, bezel and parts, had them powder coated....

years ago when inquiring about a Pipemaster 6 into 6 exhaust system a wise man told me lose the collector lose the horsepower. A collector doesn't really fit into the works, I did fabricate balance tubes between the companion cylinders in the firing order like the 81 and 82's sort of.

Balance tubes or "crossovers" will make nice low end and mid-range torque. Not sure, though, if the connection between the adjacent firing order cylinders is the optimum or something else is. That would be worth a Dyno test trial  In any case: Nice work, Mike!

Thanks for the kind words. The welding is coming along nicely, except for the #3 down pipe. For whatever reason the is a huge low area at the weld that I haven't experience with any other welds so far. I may have to remake this pipe. Thankfully I have spares!
Currently we are trying to purchase a home. Hopefully everything works out.-Mike

Some of us our manual reading "Fitters" and then there are "Engineers". You Sir are the latter. Fantastic project. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Steve and Ajs! The bike is being lifted by one of the hoists at work. I've always thought of myself as a motor head. Got the #3 downpipe remade. The X will be sporting the raw look for Stockbridge this weekend.
