Need BMW automobile special tools

Post by bdento59 »

Wondering if anyone out there happens to have some special BMW tools that I could perhaps borrow or rent? I'm looking for the "Camshaft Alignment Engine Timing Locking Tool" Master Set, which is a combination of BMW 11 3 450 & 11 3 240 special tools. I need to R&R the double VANOS unit on a 1999 E46 323i to replace the bearings and seals (to fix the rattle) so I can sell the car.

Any help would be mucho appreciated, as I just can't justify the $400 investment in the tool kit for a one-time use.
